Beyond Ontario's market data, Statistics Canada measures how many Canadians gamble and how many are at risk. These are the most recent comprehensive national figures.

Among past-year gamblers, 1.6% — about 304,400 people — were at moderate-to-severe risk of gambling problems in 2018. Household spending on games of chance rose with income, from C$111 a year in the lowest-income group to C$256 in the highest (2019).
